The R1500 is a great piece of kit, particularly when purchased with a discount offer. It is also a significant improvement on the last model (S1500), with a slightly higher capacity, increased surge capability and chunky hosing . Two major improvements of note are (a) car charger inputs directly into the solar panel socket (with power regulator inbuilt) (b) mains 230 v charging lead plugs directly into unit (no need for external transformer). These are first impressions as I have not yet been able to use it in the field. The main driver for getting the unit was to enable me to charge e-bike batteries off-grid and I am pretty sure it will do that well
Overall I am impressed with the unit and looking forward to first caravan trip of the year when weather improves!

Great power station

Has been working great so far and has provided me with plenty of power out on the roads. It saves me from draining my vehicle's battery and can even be charged via the car port. Very handy feature. Silent mode provides a peaceful and comforting environment which is handy when you are working on your laptop. Eco mode has saved me several times from battery drainage, as it turns itself off after idle consumption. Which is very handy. Thanks Allpowers!

First look the power bank looks good.
However, the app appears less than useless as I have to reconnect to Bluetooth every time. It doesn’t seem to save the device.
Once I did connect the app instructed that a firmware update was required. But in order to do the upgrade you need to contact the seller for a code, what’s that all about? I contacted the seller only to be told there aren’t any further updates for this R1500 model which concerns me that this model is being discontinued perhaps?
Haven’t really used the device too much yet, so will hold off on judgement.

As for the app, the firmware update prompt can be safely ignored. Since the product is quite new, there are currently no firmware updates available for the client side. If you see the reminder, please disregard it; it might be related to internal testing.

Great machine, fast delivery and concise explanation of the couple of points I could not find in the manual by Allpower service UK, many thanks. I think it is a shame that one has to re-engage Bluetooth and WiFi every time the machine is turned on, I would have preferred them to "toggle" as the eco mode seems to.
